Lazy Sunday Afternoons with Daddy

Happy Girl!

Mallory is smiling so much more now. Her best times are right after she eats. She still is not much of a snuggle bug-she likes to sit in her bouncy chair and watch as I read or talk to her. When I am holding her she doesn't smile nearly as much!

Mallory's Tree

A patient gave me part of his Rose of Sharon bush three years ago-I just threw it in the ground and never gave it any TLC. I had never bloomed until this year so I am now calling it Mallory's tree!

Trying to get Mallory to smile!

Here is a trio of pictures attempting to get Mallory to smile. You can tell in the first one that I am making a fool of myself and Mallory thinks I am crazy. I like the third one. Thank you Auntie Liss for the onesie-you are the best!

Thank You Sarah

Mallory went to visit Sarah and Ben on Monday. Ben was very good to her-he will be a wonderful big brother when his brother arrives next month. Sarah gave Mallory a wonderful gift-Mallory the Monkey! I had never seen it before-thanks Sarah!

A morning at the beach!

Mallory had her first outing to Plum Island today! She slept the whole time-she really seems to like the carrier! The second photo is taken right where we had our wedding pictures taken.

The first of many Bruno and Mallory Pictures

We are so thankful that Bruno has adapted to having Mallory around. He doesn't pay too much attention to her-he will sniff her as he walks by but that is about it. What I have noticed lately is he likes to be in the same room with her. He likes to have her in his sight which is so cute. Who knows what will happen once she starts moving around but for right now we call this success!

I have been attempting to get Mallory's new smile on camera. I would like to say she was looking at me when I took this picture but she smiles the most at the picture hanging above the couch! Whatever works I will take the smiles any way I can!

Visits

Tartie and Marcia came to visit today. Mallory was awake for a little while when they were here!

I'm a big girl!

This is Mallory's first picture in a 3 month outfit! The 3 month dresses, pants and two piece outfits are still too big but one piece oufits and onesies fit. The newborn ones were getting too small lengthwise. Happy 10 weeks old!

Mallory's Two and a half Month Appointment

We figured we should put a picture of Daddy on the blog since he hasn't been on here much! Mallory went for her two month appointment today and everything is going well. She was a trooper when getting the shots. I decided to split the vaccinations up so she will have at least one a month through the next 5 months (sorry Mallory). The doctor was impressed with her sleeping habits (she sleeps up to eight hours some nights) and her alertness considering on the developmental scale she is only 5 weeks. She is 23 1/4 inches long (90th percentile) and 9 pounds 14 ounces (25th percentile). The doctor said she is lean and long!

Another new friend for Mallory!

My friend Courtney had her son Declan on August 1st and we went down to meet him this week. Mallory decided to hold his hand right away. This is the first picture where Mallory is actually the bigger baby!

Our girl is 2 months old! She will go to the doctor on the 9th so I will give an update about how big she is getting then.

Mallory meets her future husband

We were lucky enough to split our trip home and stay in Albany for the night with Karen and the other two Michael Paul's. So now Mallory has officially met her future husband. It was love at first sight!

Mallory's Trip to New York

Mallory had a wonderful time at Grammy and Grandpa's house. She got to meet her great grandmother and her aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a wonderful traveler. She gave her first big smile to Daddy on the 1st-Mommy had to wait until the next day!
